Skive Museum will take you on a cultural and artistic journey through time with it’s impressive and thorough exhibitions. Amongst other, you can experience the exhibition Paintings, models and mattresses from the museum’s art collection. The exhibition features some new and some never before shown works along with some of the more knowns works from the museum’s collection. The exhibition is shown in two bright halls and gives insight into the art collections width and depth with examples of new realism, modernism, expressive landscape paintings and contemporary art. Skive Museum’s art collection includes art from the 18th century to today. The museum is representing lots of different artist, motifs and styles.

The children museum Gadespejlet is a good experience for the whole family

How was it to be a child in Skive around the year 1900? In the child museum Gadespejlsbyen (window-mirror town), you get to visit two families from different social class: The rich grocer and the poor seamstress. The grocer’s house is big enough for the children to have their own bedroom, while the seamstress’ apartment is so small that her children have to sleep in the kitchen. In the children museum you can do your grocery shopping at the grocer and try on clothes at the seamstress. Gadespejlsbyen is just one of the many exhibitions at Skive Museum.
